DocScout is operated by Tomas Kenny, Buenos Aires, Argentina, who is the data controller for the information described here. Questions: hola@getdocscout.com.
What we collect
- URLs you audit and the resulting reports. Audit results for a URL may be cached for 24 hours and shown to anyone who audits the same public URL.
- Email address, if you join a list or buy a report, plus which list you joined.
- IP address, used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention; usage counters expire within about a day.
- Purchase data (name, email, billing country, order details) handled by our payment provider. We never see or store full card numbers.
How we use it
To run audits, deliver reports, send you the emails you asked for (such as checkout availability or your report), prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We don't sell your data and we don't use third-party advertising trackers.
Processors
- Vercel (hosting) · Resend (email and contact list) · Anthropic (AI analysis of public documentation content) · Jina AI (page reading) · Upstash (rate-limit counters and cache, when enabled) · our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy or Stripe).
These providers may process data outside Argentina, including in the United States, under their own safeguards.
Retention
Rate-limit counters: about 24 hours. Cached audits: 24 hours. List emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Purchase records: as long as required by tax law.
Your rights
You can request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, or unsubscribe at any time, by emailing hola@getdocscout.com. Under Argentine Law 25.326 you may also contact the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP).
